Kleinere Haftanstalten legen oft besonderen Wert darauf, den Inhaftierten Zugang zu Gesundheitsversorgung, Bildung, Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten und einer Gemeinschaft zu ermöglichen📚❤️🩹. Diese Maßnahmen kommen nicht nur dem Wohlbefinden der einzelnen Personen zugute, sondern schaffen auch bessere Chancen für die (Re-)Integration in die Gesellschaft und den Arbeitsmarkt nach der Entlassung.
Dies wiederum kann erhebliche Vorteile mit sich bringen, nicht nur für die Einzelperson, sondern auch für die Gesellschaft – sowohl sozial als auch finanziell👥💵. Langfristig können dadurch die sozialen Auswirkungen von Kriminalität verringert werden, etwa durch eine Senkung der Rückfallquote und eine Verbesserung der öffentlichen Gesundheit. Gleichzeitig können die finanziellen Kosten von Kriminalität gesenkt werden, da ehemalige Inhaftierte unterstützt werden, wieder in die Gesellschaft einzutreten und einen Beitrag zu leisten🤝.

Smaller scale detention facilities tend to priorities incarcerated individuals access to healthcare, education, employment opportunities and a community📚❤️🩹. These are measures which benefit the wellbeing on individuals but which also lead to better opportunities of (re)integration into society and employment after a release.
This is something which in turn can have significant benefits not only for the individual but also for society both socially and financially👥💵. In the long term this can reduce social affects of crime such as decreasing recidivism and improving public health, and through this decrease the financial costs of crime as former inmates are facilitated to re enter society and contribute🤝.

Die UN-Standards und -Normen sind ein Regelwerk aus Prinzipien und Leitlinien, das Staaten dabei unterstützen soll, ein gerechtes und menschenwürdiges Justizsystem zu schaffen⚖️. Sie umfassen viele Bereiche des Justizsystems, wie die Behandlung von Gefangenen, restorative Gerechtigkeit, den Schutz der Kinderrechte im Justizsystem und Gewalt gegen Frauen. Die Standards werden in der Regel durch die UN-Generalversammlung oder durch Resolutionen des Wirtschafts- und Sozialrats angenommen.
Ein gerechteres und effektiveres Justizsystem zu schaffen, ist eines der Ziele, für die sich Richtungswechsel einsetzt. Die UN-Standards und -Normen sind nicht nur ein hilfreiches Instrument, um Staaten Orientierung zu geben, sondern auch ein wichtiges Signal dafür, dass wir alle gemeinsam an einem gerechteren und menschlicheren Justizsystem arbeiten müssen🌍🤝.

The UN standards and Norms are a set of rules, principles and guidelines to which aim to help states work to achieve a fair and humane justice system⚖️. The UN Standards include many different areas of the justice system such as treatment of prisoners, restorative justice, protection of children’s rights in the justice system and violence against women. The standards are usually adopted through the UN General Assembly or resolutions from the Economic and Social Council.
Achieving a more humane and effective justice system is one of the goals Richtungswechsel is working towards, and the UN Standards and Norms are not only useful to help guide states they are also an important signal that we all have to work together to achieve a more fair and humane justice system for all🌍🤝.
