Dear supporters, partners, and friends of Richtungswechsel,
The year 2024 has been an outstanding one for our organisation.
We are proud to have grown with a dedicated core team of four members, supported by numerous volunteers and supporters. This year, we organised several workshops, conducted virtual webinars, published reports, and contributed to over 36 events across 11 different countries.
Our projects have connected us across borders and enabled us to provide significant impetus for integrative measures and vocational excellence in the field of corrections.
A particular highlight was receiving the Learning Award in New York City from the Moonshot platform—a significant recognition of our continuous efforts to promote lifelong learning and social integration. This award strengthens our commitment and demonstrates that our work is valued internationally.
We look forward to a collaborative 2025 with all of you and, in this spirit:

International Human Solidarity Day

Today it is 🌍International Human Solidarity Day🌍. This is a to celebrated shared humanity and foster unity, equality and protect human rights for all🤝. This includes standing in solidarity with those incarcerated or previously incarcerated. A population whose fundamental rights are often overlooked. As seen above through inadequate access to justice but also through inhumane conditions, inadequate healthcare and isolation.
Today we stand together for dignity and justice for all, including incarcerated individuals ✊

Ain is the newest member of the Richtungswechsel team, supporting us as a dedicated volunteer in Advocacy & Community Engagement. 🙌✨
Currently pursuing her Master’s degree in International Public Affairs at the Central European University, Ain brings over four years of professional experience in the field of (re)integration in Singapore. Her work with the nonprofit organization “New Life Stories” focused on preventing intergenerational incarceration and supporting affected families.
Her passion for driving social change and her extensive experience in the field of resocialization make Ain an invaluable addition to our projects. 💡🌍
