The Child Friendly Justice European Network was founded in April 2019 by Defense for Children International Belgium and currently comprises 40 organizations and individuals from 21 European countries. Richtungswechsel has been a member since 2026.
The network advocates for a child friendly justice system in which children’s rights are respected and protected.
When children come into contact with the justice system, they find themselves in an intimidating world that they often don’t understand. Therefore, the network’s mission is to ensure that justice systems are adapted to the needs of children.
Through their projects, they bring significant changes for children who come into contact with the justice system and professionals in the field.
